July 2,2014 – MARCH AND ENFORCE
MARCH AND ENFORCE
Day 3 in Osaka
The only thing I can think of the law enforcement, specially Japanese Police, are precision, serving people’s rights, and safety. I was amazed by the police force of every city in Osaka for they really do their job.
At first, I thought the police force of Osaka was at the march to hold us. That is how I used to know basing the Philippine police system but I was shocked of the Japanese Police System.
The police force of Japan, specifically Osaka, are the ones who are carrying the whole march for the day. The only task of the marchers is to march. And one thing, they are very strict of using the time. If the march starts at 8:00 in the morning, then be at 8:00 in the morning.
From the start of the march the police force is already there. They guide us the safest road we can take until reached the next city and handed over to other police force from that city who were waiting on its city border line. The police system structure is: a police car in front of the marcher turning the warning light on the roof of the car; a line of police staff along the right side of the marchers; police runners who alternately run passed the whole marchers to secure every crossroads; and mediators in case of unexpected conflicts.
The marchers did experienced conflict with a man riding in his motorcycle with his wife. The man was angry because he can’t pass through the road and drove along the march while pounding his motorcycle horn so hard. He quickly cut crossed in front of the marchers and started yelling. The police mediators quickly surrounded and dragged him along with his wife and motorcycle in the other side of the road. I can still hear them debating but the march continued. I was wondering what happened next. Mr. Iwatta told me that everything is ok and no problem so I settled.
Every person dreamed of a convenient, disciplined place, I guess I recommend Japan. The police system of Japan is well organized. For sure next year’s National Peace March the police force of Japan will again march and enforce.

A few more minutes to go and it’s walking time!…
Isang mapang-hamon na lakaran na naman. It’s going to be a challenging walk again.
Ito na…. Lakaran na…. 100+ marchers kami ngayon.. This is it… It’s walking time… We are 100+ marchers today…
From IZUMI SANO CITY, we’ve reach another city- KAIZUKA CITY. All in OSAKA PREFECTURE…. (Kung sa pinas pa, parang munisipyo to munisipyo lang ang lakaran sa isang buong probensya) Awooooo! (This is like walking from municipality to municipality within an entire province in the Philippines)
Arrived…. KAIZUKA CITY HALL.
Singing in the street with these folks…. Setsu Mikami (playing the xylophone) and Kenji Kamada (playing the guitar)……
Starting again….. Moving to another city…….
Kaizuka city to Kishawada City…. Kambras….. (Let’s go!)
Pahinga muna sa Kishiwada City hall. Rest / lunch at Kishiwada City Hall.
Naghahanda para simulan ang march…. (Preparing for the start of the march…)
Heto na naman kami…. From kishiwada city to tadaoka town….. Biraaaaa!…. Here we go again… From kishiwada city to tadaoka town….. Fight!….
Kishiwada city police force who guide the marchers to safety hand over us to kadaoka town police force as we enter to their town. Ginagawa to nang mga city police ng bawat syudad ng osaka para masigurong ligtas lahat ng marchers. SANA GANITO SA PINAS! Hindi yung itrato tayong kalaban. Kakahiya….. (The city police does this in every city in Osaka to ensure that all marchers are safe. I hope they do this too in the Philippines! And not treat us as enemies. Shameful…)
Arrived…. Tadaoka town hall with their mayor….
Tadaoka town mayor in support with the march and handed its donation personally….ayos….
Pinapalo ako sa peace bell na nasa harap nang tadaoka town hall… Sign of peace daw…..galing…… (Was made to hit the peace bell in front of the Tadaoka Town Hall… A sign of peace… Great!…)
Marching again with some members of tadaoka sangguniang bayan members in front…. From tadaoka town to izumishi city hall….. Mao nani……ok ra…..
Ang palayan nila ay backyard garden nila…… Ayos….. (Their ricefields are their backyard gardens… Amazing…
Head Police nang izumi city natinurnoveran ng tadaoka city police ay para si governor khalid dimaporo ng lanao del norte…. Hahahahaha…. Akala ko nag lipat dito si MKD sa japan para mag pulis….. Hahahahahahah ayos…. The head police of Izumi City that the Tadaoka City Police handed us over to looks so much like Governor Khalid Dimaporo (MKD) of Lanao del Norte, Mindanao… Hahahaha… I thought MKD moved to Japan to be a police officer… hahaha… awesome!…)
